You have a ‘Subconscious Belief Financial Set Point’ !
This is the amount of money you believe you can make deep down in your subconscious mind.
Anything beyond this ‘set point’ and your subconscious mind says; ‘No you can’t’ and your body has a stress reaction. (more on this in a minute).
Let’s use an example;
Meet Richard.
Rich is an entrepreneur who owns 3 retail businesses. He works 50 hours a week making his business ‘work’. He is desperate to breakthrough to the next level of financial wealth and start putting several zeros on his bottom line.
Rich is a fit guy in his 30s who is very driven, focused and determined. He is well into personal development has read ‘all the books’ been on many courses and knows how to keep himself in a positive state. Like any human being he also has doubts, worries and fears.
He has a baby on the way and really wants and NEEDS to make more money to buy a house for his wife and soon to be born baby boy.
His goal is to ‘make his money’ by the time he is 40 so he can ‘kick back’ and enjoy life.
Rich is 100% convinced he can be a millionaire. He has 3 friends that are millionaires that made it from nothing and he is sure he can do it too.
Despite putting in 50 hour weeks, keeping fit and energised, and maintaining a positive vibe, Rich isn’t seeing the results he wants.
He takes a coaching package out with me.
Using my ‘Proprietary Gold Standard Testing Process’ method I test Rich’s ‘Subconscious Belief Financial Set Point’;
‘I can make £50K per year’ Subconscious says; YES
‘I can make £100K per year’ Subconscious says; YES
‘I can make £250K per year’ Subconscious says; NO
Rich was shocked; “No way, test again, test it again”
‘I can make £250K per year’ Subconscious says; No!
He is in a state of disbelief;
“Bloody hell Chris, I’ve read 100’s of personal development books, been on tons of courses, and STILL I have limiting beliefs that are stopping me achieve my goals – I’ve also got mates that have made it from nothing, so I know it can be done, I’m gutted”.
…
But how exactly does your; ‘Subconscious Belief Financial Set Point’ stop you achieving your financial goals?
It’s nothing mystical…its simply your basic physiological stress response blocking you or limiting you from being as successful as you want to be.
When you think of making £100K, £200K, £500K a year if this is ‘Beyond Your Belief’ then you will activate the stress centres of your brain and kick in the ‘Fight, Flight, Freeze’ area of your brain.
This switches off your higher thinking centres so you can’t make accurate decisions and don’t take the appropriate actions.
Albeit subtle, your body tenses and contracts, your blood moves out of the stomach and gut stopping you digest and absorb nutrients efficiently. This drains your energy and you fatigue quicker. Your powers of rest and recuperation are diminished and so you can’t relax properly and don’t fully recover from the day’s events.
With stress chemicals flowing around your brain and body you are in survival mode.
Nothing about this state is going to allow you to become successful and achieve your £££ $$$ goals.
It is the opposite of what you want, AND ALL LIMITING BELIEFS do this to some degree or another…AND imagine a whole host of other limiting beliefs in other areas of your life also adding to the mix.
In short this is a quick route to FAILURE or/and DISSAPOINTMENT.
The beliefs held in your mind tell your brain what signals to send into the body.
Positive Empowering Beliefs send Positive Empowering Chemistry which we feel as Confidence, Happiness, Energy, Focus, Determination and so on. We think clearly, see opportunities and take the best course of action toward our goals.
Limiting beliefs switch your stress response on. They flood your body with stress chemicals, paralysing your brain, making you feel a sense of unease and uncomfortableness. Anxious feelings start to become a baseline feeling for you that’s there every day.
That’s the last thing you want if you want to make more money or achieve any goal!

Anyhow, back to Richard.
I re-patterned his Subconscious Mind with new empowering beliefs and this time we put his ‘Subconscious Belief Financial Set Point’ to £20 Million!!!
What does this mean in reality?
Will he magically make millions of ££ now?
Well who knows, maybe. BUT what it definitely means is that whenever Richard thinks either consciously OR subconsciously about making millions, he no longer has stress responses limiting his ability to make it happen.
Unease and feeling Uncomfortable is replaced with Calmness and a Sense of Well-Being.
Self-Doubt is replaced by Rock Solid Self-Belief and Confidence.
So, to review;
Limiting beliefs and negative thinking patterns are BIG SUCCESS STRESSORS that switch on your stress response and tell the brain to flood the body with stress chemicals.
In every way, this takes you away from performing at your best and in the wrong direction of your goals.
